another nsi favourite, played his first nsi showcase concert on weds 5th
April 2000... 'a lilting and melodic music of depth and emotion' - Chris Conway is an original singer / songwriter 'with a positive perspective and a vision of cosmic horizons' who has recorded 4 CDs of his own songs and played with the cream of the UK folk & folk/rock scene. Vikki Clayton recorded two of his songs. He is a member of Vikki Clayton's Band and has worked with members of Jethro Tull and Fairport Convention and toured the UK with Monkee Peter Tork. He is also in world music bands - Jazz Orient aka Re-Orient, and The Rain Garden with Dave Everitt. Chris's solo version of his song 'Long Day's Waiting', which he performed at the nsi showcase concert accompanying himself on the Kalimba, was 'unique, sublime & a pleasure to behold' - check out his website |
